This class meets once a week for 5 weeks.

At Cambridge Learners Academy we teach our primary students how to enjoy writing as they develop as effective writers. Our students will be taken through the components of the writing process: planning, drafting, sharing, evaluating, revising, editing, and publishing to share a final product.
This class meets once a week for 5 weeks.
Thursdays 4:30 pm-5:30 pm.
At Cambridge Learners Academy our secondary students learn history using DBQ units, and learn to write clear, evidence-based essays. They spend the first half of the course learning history using DBQ units, and develop inferential reasoning skills while they learn to write clear, evidence-based essays.Our students will be taken through the components of the DBQ writing process of note taking, primary source document analysis.
This class meets once a week for 10 weeks.
Saturdays 2:30 PM -3:30 PM.
In this course students are introduced to the fun and exciting world of Science Olympiad competitions. Elementary Science Olympiad events take advantage of the natural curiosity of each child, and allow for in-depth hands-on experiences. Students will learn to work in teams for fast-paced competitions in the various science disciplines of life science, earth science, and physical science. They will also have a balanced exposu
This class meets once a week for 6 weeks.
Students will spend time exploring maps as they experience the magic and wonder of reducing vast and distant lands into manageable sizes. They will conquer places, follow wide rivers, climb high mountain peaks, and cross great deserts with the tip of their fingers. Students will learn about the world and explore the fascinating things that make it such an exciting place to live. We will escape to on virtual field trips to explore the many amazing wonders

Our students will spend the day learning to adequately prepare for taking effective notes. We will explore the different note taking systems from the Cornell Method to the Visual Note-Taking method. Students will self-evaluate to find strategies and skills that work best of for them based on their individual learning styles. Grades 4-5 and 6 -8.

This course is geared towards students in grades k - 5 . Our students learn French with a holistic approach. While experiencing the french culture through music, dance, games, film and food, students will learn to read, write and speak the languge.

This course is geared towards students in grades 6 - 9 . Our course welcomes students with zero prior experience in French, as well those with some experience but limited communicative practice. Listening to spoken and recorded passages and dialogues, watching short videos and reading short authentic texts, students begin to develop interpretive skills, such as awareness of context and how to select the most meaningful information out of a communicative stream.
