Our students will spend the day learning to adequately prepare for taking effective notes. We will explore the different note taking systems from the Cornell Method to the Visual Note-Taking method. Students will self-evaluate to find strategies and skills that work best of for them based on their individual learning styles.

Students will explore marine ecosystems, geography of ocean floors, the physical and chemical properties of ocean water. Students will use Google expeditions to visit marine sites, test water samples and examine microscopic organisms. Students explore how salinity and temperature impact the ecosystem and how the slightest change can harm the health of its organisms. Through virtual observations and comparative dissections istudents analyze different plants and animals allow in marine habitats.
In this course, students learn how the U.N. addresses global concerns. They study the structure and processes of this multilateral institution through readings, discussions, research, and short lectures. They examine how physical, economic, cultural, and political geographies influence and inform policymaking. Students develop writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills while gaining a working knowledge of international relations theory and history.
